The word “brochure” is derived from the French word “brocart”, meaning “rich fabric or material”. It was from this word that the term “brochure” was introduced in the 17th century.
Brochures were first used by the French aristocracy as a form of communication. Later, during the 19th century, it became popular and widely used in Europe to communicate information through graphic design, layout and printing.
Brochures are widely used in sectors such as education, manufacturing, textiles, finance, etc.
They are widely distributed to customers and also serve as a medium for obtaining more information about a brand.
