Web banner design
Web banner design, a mission successfully taken on by our agency!
As explained in our previous article on the commercial banners used by our customer Natas, which adapts its message to suit European events, we designed a web banner for a one-off Easter promotion.
The banner had a format of 960px x 96px, designed with vector elements.
The rest of the banners are intended for fairly targeted commercial operations.
What’s a web banner?
A website banner is a graphic element that appears at the top or side of a web page. It is designed to attract site visitors and encourage them to visit your site, read other pages and make a purchase.
A website banner usually contains a graphic image or an image with text, and may include links or buttons to other websites. The size of the banner varies according to its position on the page.
Website banners are often used in conjunction with search engine marketing (SEM) strategies. SEM refers to any marketing method that uses search engines as the primary means of reaching potential customers. Banners placed at the top or sides of a web page are often displayed using paid advertising.

Definition of a banner ad
A banner ad is a graphic advertisement placed on a web page. It can be static or animated, and is usually rectangular in shape. It remains on the screen for a certain time before automatically disappearing.
A banner ad is different from a link in that you don’t click on it to visit another site. Instead, you see an image that represents a company and is usually linked to the content of the website.
