How do I maintain a WordPress website?
Maintaining a WordPress website is very similar to maintaining a website on any other CMS. The only difference here is that the content management system is so simplified that any user can use the system without any prior technical knowledge.
Automate your website maintenance
The very first thing you need to do to maintain your WordPress website is to make a good and effective website maintenance plan. There are many components involved in website maintenance, but the basics of WordPress website management can be achieved by simply following a few steps. The first step in website maintenance is to ensure that your extensions are updated automatically.
The second aspect of maintaining a WordPress website is to ensure that the CMS itself is regularly updated. There’s no point in using a CMS if you don’t update it, because it’s in the older versions that hackers discover security holes.
Hosting and subcontracting
Once you’ve done that, you need to check that you’ve got a reliable host that offers a platform you can use, and that’s correct from a security point of view.
Finally, don’t hesitate to ask the advice of a digital communications agency, which can carry out this type of service for you. Some agencies even offer all-inclusive maintenance packages, in the form of monthly subscriptions. What’s important is that everyone involved performs to the best of his or her ability, so that your website is in top form.
