NGOs and Associations
Here we present our references and experience with customers in the NGO and association sector.
NGO and Association
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and associations are the third largest type of non-profit organization in the world.
The term NGO gained currency during the Cold War, when it was used to describe a variety of organizations that were not governed by governments. Today, it refers to a wide range of groups and organizations, particularly those focusing on social issues.
In recent years, interest in NGOs has grown as business models have evolved over time. This interest has led to the creation of a number of new types of association, with varying degrees of private-sector involvement.
The main function of NGOs is to provide services that are not provided by the state. These services can include health care, education, social security and environmental protection, among others. Organizations may be funded by donations from individuals or by government aid. Some countries have different laws concerning NGOs. In some countries, they have limited powers, while in others they are totally independent of the government.
